Suze, I would only want to live longer if I was the "master of my domain" and could win the contest.

I would certainly prefer to see someone in PJ's as someone in their best over-sized pants hanging off of them, boxers exposed, w/a cap tugged on sideways sporting 10 pounds of bling. But to each their own.

NYCFoodSnob, I think the same thing when I observe the footwear that many people have on for a flight. Flip flops? Spike heels? even slides... can you climb, jump or run in those shoes? Don't think so.

No kidding Suze, my thoughts exactly! LOL

If we're going down, the only thing I want to be armed with is a Bloody Mary.

SharonG, at that point you might as go ahead and give it up, it'll give you something to do while the plane plummets.

Bloody Mary? How about something stronger? Whiskey, perhaps? Grey Goose L'Orange? But we'd better not be on United, or they'd probably charge us for that drink even as the plane was plummeting!

Heck I am more interested in the cyanide someone mentioned.

Or at least a handful of Valium or Ambien which I suggested way back up this thread... and was poo-pooed for "taking drugs" ;-)

Well, Suze, I thought your suggestion was reasonable. I never fly without the Ambien!

But if the plane is going to crash take it at least an hour before you know it will crash so it has time to kick in. You don't want to be nervous while going down!

A few trips ago I got a pedicure across from the departure gate at Kennedy airport. I was on my way to Rome and pattered onto the plane with the little paper slippers and damp toenails. I suppose the wet nail polish would have been flammable.

Boarding in such an odd fashion took the edge off of the fear of flying though, I recommend it.

SeaUrchin, LOL. Good for you. BTW, did the nail polish stay in good condition? I sometimes have had smudges after a pedicure. That is irritating!

Loveitaly, it was wonderful! There is a day spa in the departures lounge where you can get massages, manicures, pedicures, etc. I got a foot massage and the pedicure which lasted thoughout the whole trip.

Oh SeaUrchin, seriously, I can only imagine how wonderful that was!! Have never gotten a pedicure at an airport, never thought of it. What a great idea. A good way while spending the long time waiting to board the plane also. Thanks for the suggestion.

Wait a moment, maybe that LAD is flying on that new AirBus where he can have his toes all dollied up? In this case PJs won't look so odd, huh?

And if he's changing leather pants into PJs we shouldn't come down so hard on him.

SeaUrchin--That sounds like a wonderful way to start a trip! I have a girlfriend that we do a spa week trip each year, but this year we are headed to Edinburgh instead. With your idea we should be able to incorporate some spa stuff too, lol!
