Padua - To See or Not to See? Or cut time in Venice?

I have to say that the OP never asked this forum about her choice on where to stay. I also agreed with everyone who thought staying in Venice was the way to go, but that was not what the OP asked -- Was looking on input whether to visit Padua or not. So it seems its not fair to say she wasn't looking 4 input. One could flip it and state the posters responding didn't listen to the OP.
