Hello--I will be going on the "Steps of St. Paul" tour with Pacha Tours in October. I know you went on a different tour but how was it with Pacha? How was the guide? Good experience? Thanks!

We are leaving next week for a cruise of Greece and Turkey and then a week in turkey (we get off the boat in Istanbul. What were the highlights of your tour? Any hotel thoughts?

Hi Pam, We were in Turkey for 2 weeks in June and although we were not on a tour I arranged some hotel accomadations and day tours thru Pacha and Gate 1. I can tell you both companies did a great job, but I would definitly stay in a restored Ottoman house and cave hotel if I went back. Our hotels were way too American style and the coutry is so exotic, you should take advantage of the opportunity to experience the real thing. If you like american style, our hotel in Istanbul was The President. Great location. Since you probably saw Ephesus with the cruise, you should take 2 of your days in Turkey and fly to Cappadocia. You can arrage it from your hotel in Istanbul. Have fun.

Pacha and Gate 1 both have great websites. www.Pachatours.com and www.Gate1travel.com. That should get you started.
