Overnight train Amsterdam to Venice

I have been on bahn de and it shows me several option yet no price.
On Eurail it only gave me one option and a $300.00 price tag through Paris.
Does anyone know the price of the one that goes through Frankfurt?

Thanks

Hi J,

Because you ar crossing various borders, it will be difficult to find the exact price online.

Try www.railsaver.com for a reasonable estimate.

I checked bahn.de and didn't find a good night route through Frankfurt. However, I did find these routes and prices by checking bahn.de and sncf.com:

1. Leave Amsterdam Centraal at 14:23, change in Brussels, and arrive at Paris Nord at 19:05. Price: E107.90. Leave Paris Bercy at 20:28 and arrive at Venice Santa Lucia at 09:27. PREM 2nd class six-bunk couchette for E55, PREM 1st class four-bunk couchette for E80, and full fare 2nd class couchette for E125.

2. Even better would be to leave Amsterdam Centraal at 20:05 and arrive in Munich at 07:16. Spar-Night fares are as low as E29. You can leave Munich at 07:30, change in Verona, and arrive at Venice Santa Lucia at 14:43. Price: E88.80. Or you can save money by waiting and leaving Munich at 11:30, going directly to Venice Santa Lucia and arriving at 18:31. The Europa-Spezial fare is E29.

Ira,
thank you for the website. I am able to see several option but not the price. I will keep messing with it and see what I come up with.

If anyone has been on this overnight train recently I would appreciate a response.

Thank you so much

The Amsterdam-Munich and Munich-Venice fares are shown on the bahn.de site.

FYI, it's easy to miss the special fares on the bahn.de site. They're in a column on the far right of the page and you may not see them unless you scroll all the way to the right.

Hi J,

www.railsaver.com has a long ride for $250

www.bahn.de lists Amsterdam/Frankfurt as 97E, and Frankfurt/Venice as 144E.

Are you sure that you want to go via Frankfurt?

I agree with Tim about the 20:05 night train to Munich.

You can fly to Venice Treviso (TSF) for about 85E.
