Would like a recommendation for a place to overnight near Dublin airport to be ready for my return flight. Have stayed at Bewleys previously and other airport hotels (Skylon, Regency, Holiday Inn, some having shuttle service). Noticing how they all have increased prices by up to 50% since last time but need a place that is close enough to take taxi or public transportation. Thanks in advance.

I usually recommend the Premier Inn which has a shuttle service. Prices in Dublin have increased dramatically, any time there is anything on in the city prices hyke.

Distance from the airport doesn't matter greatly when hotels offer a free shuttle (or, like the Premier Inn, at a modest €1 per person).

Reason I mentioned the distance I was delayed last year in heavy rain and traffic early morning and then having the walk from shuttle park to T2, I like having a short trip to airport on shuttle or taxi.
