Oslo pass?

Has anyone purchased an Oslo Pass?

It seems like a good deal in an expensive city. I'm looking at a hotel / pass package deal. It includes intercity transportation, every site we plan to visit, and the part I question is the discounts at restaurants.

How do the restaurant discounts work?

Can anyone share their experience?

We used it for seeing most of the sights as well as transportation. Got it at the Tourist Office.Or maybe transportion was a separate pass, but it all worked very well.THe tourist office told us exactly what to do to get each place we wanted to go. Beautiful city.

A paragraph from my trip report about the Oslo card:

My wife's plantar fasciitis had gotten much worse, so our touring was much less than normal. At times, while she sat on a bench, I was like the dog running back and forth, telling her that maybe she does want to walk here to see something. For example, we visited the Norsk Folkemuseum twice because of one section I discovered at the end was too much for her on the first day and we went back to see it another day. But on the first day we did see that museum, and the Viking Museum, and the Kon-Tiki Museum. These museums are a short walk one from the other, but her foot was so bad that we took the bus. I am going at length about this to explain that we probably saw less of Oslo in our three full days than the normal visitor. We did purchase the three day Oslo card that included museums, and while it was definitely worthwhile in terms of convenience, I am not sure that it is necessary. The Fine Arts museum was free, as was the Decorative Arts Museum. The one day visiting the Norsk Folkemuseum museum, the Viking Museum, the Kon-Tiki museum and the Frammuseet required obtaining tickets (free with the card). If a three day transportation pass is available, I think that it is a better deal than the Oslo card.

Just back from Oslo. We bought the 24 hour pass and it was a good deal. The ferries to Bygby don't run in winter so we used the bus, getting off near Frogner first then going on to the museums. We also used it to get 20% discount on a large pizza at Peppes, and at a wonderful Pakistani restaurant, just around the corner from our hotel. There are other places which offer such discounts too with the card.

We could happily have spent longer in Oslo and less time n Bergen, since at this time of year much of Bergen is closed whereas Oslo is very much open.
The Bergen pass is less of a good deal imho.

When we used the Paris pass you can jump the line and walk right up to the entry. The I Amsterdam card did not allow us to do this, we still had to wait in the ticket lines.
IMO jumping the various lines alone is sometimes worth the cost of the pass.
Do you go to the front of the line with the Oslo pass?

No lines for any museums when we were there.
