Orvierto - Dinner Choices
Hi,
We will be in Orvierto for our first night in Italy in over 25 years.
Our first night dinner choice is between ANTICA CANTINA or LA PALOMBA.
We prefer a relaxed experience, outdoor eating if possible and food more toward the traditional than modern and trendy. The meal should be very good but not necessarily gourmet. An above average house wine is a plus.
All comments are welcomed.
nick&jemma thank you!

Christmas Eve 2012, a friend and I ate at Ristorante Maurizio, quite an upscale local clientele and close to the duomo (no outdoor seating as far as I could see). Very good food, not expensive but done well with good service. Menus on the website. I considered it a find and recommend it.

If wine is important to you, consider La Grotta. Traditional food (Slow Food recommended, in fact), approx 35€ per person without wine. They are closed Tuesdays, and no doubt they do take holidays some weeks, so you should check in advance (and reserve)
