How great to be in the Water Lilies room when it's nearly empty, as in photo. Any tips how to achieve that, besided being a NY Times photographer?

I actually have a photo of me in the room with the Water Lilies and it's nearly empty. I'm sitting on the bench contemplating and being in awe. How did I achieve this? I was in Paris the first part of February. VERY few tourists. It was wonderful! The Louvre was pretty empty too. So, I guess the answer is to go during the winter. It's a great time to be there.

Hi, they said on TV this morning that it could be delayed because they found an old wall from the 16°c with the works and though the gallery is ready they might open tomorrow or later.
Anyway you're not going today! ;-)

I thought someone on the thread i stsarted about this said they had seen the opening on TV....

The team of T&eacute;l&eacute;matin (morning program)filmed the gallery yesterday and that is what was said to them... they didn't talk about it on the news, it is so much more important to say that Da vinci Code movie was really bad at the Cannes opening.

LOL!! yes, there was a piece in today's &quot;Washington Post&quot; about the movie and it was not very flattering.

I'm hoping by June Orangerie will be open. Am I correct in asuming it is not on the Musee Pass?

Tania, it was before and is currently on the official museum pass website (although listed as closed). I expect it will be.
