Online Hotel Booking (Cancelable)
I have plans to go to UK by the end of march. I want to make an online hotel booking, but if my plans change i should be able to cancel it. There are lots of online hotel bookings available in UK but i am unable to find any booking that is Cancelable.
Please let me know if you know any.
Thanks

Depending on which hotel you're booking, odds are you'll be sending an email to the front desk/reservations dept and they will respond with your confirmation. You can first ask them what their cancellation policies are before you give them your cc #. That's how I did all of our hotels in Italy. And all were cancellable with 2-3 days advance notice.

Agree with what you've been told. Either book directly with the hotel which should have clear cancellation policy on their website (usually at least 24 hrs notice with no penalty unless it's a small b & b) or a website like Londontown.com Venere.com is another website that works that way (unless the hotel asks for a deposit).

Unfortunately, if you have a booking that can be cancelled without charge, it will probably cost more than a non-cancellable one (like with Priceline, Hotwire, or even prepaid rates on the hotel web site). I'd consider making a cancelable booking, and then if interested, trying to replace it with a cheaper non-cancelable one.
