Denisea, welcome home! Glad you had a great trip. In spite of knee issues, you really seemed to have gotten all around. . .even climbing the tower of ND! Thanks for all your information, including hints on using the bus. It'll, no doubt, take time to get back into the swing of things at home, but, by and by, we'll be looking for your TR. Thanks again!

Thanks everyone. The knee will get there. I am not sure when we will be in Paris next and Italy is also "calling".
For those of you on your way, why am I so jealous???
Cornelius01, we did stay in the Kir apartment. It was nice and quiet. Elevator works great and I was glad the apt. is on the 6th floor (no one walking on your ceiling). My husband wore out the Neospresso maker! Yes, it is small but there is plenty of storage and it is no smaller than a hotel room would be, so we were not bothered by it. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, plenty of hot water and it has a REAL hair dryer (the Paris hotel ones never work for me).
The location really is great. The 42 stop is just around the corner to the right (Ave Bourdonnais), the 87 and 69 lines are around the corner and 2 blocks away, along witha taxi stand. RER at Pont de L'Alma is 4-5 blocks the other way (down Ave Rapp). The Champ de Mars is right there and you will not want for lots of ET viewing while walking in the neighborhood.
There is also a tabac around the corner (Across from the 42 stop) where you can get carnets of tickets for the bus/metro. There is also a small grocery behind the 42 stop for quick things. The PP office is very close and all the Constant restaurant line up is nearby on St Dominique. I didn't get the names, but the 2 closest boulangeries on Ave Rapp are both good.
