One-way Eurostar to Paris

I need a one-way ticket from London to Paris on Friday April 4. (Wife and I are taking a London/Paris anniversary excursion)--I am sorta confused. It appears such one way tickets are $139 in states (2nd class) . I had sorta just planned to buy a ticket once in London March 30, etc...Can anyone tell me any fare difference here and there?
We are rather flexible on departure time from London (and several trains depart each day) but do the trains (2nd class fares) sell out often?
af

ex

The low fares sell out quickly, I would not wait to get it in London if you are counting on going. I bought ours (for April) when they first went on sale, the 65 day advance purchase and the agent told me they did not have a lot of them.

Hi alan,
Have you tried www.eurostat.com? They are offering 59 GBP RT to Paris.

Hi, Alan. The train was full when we went in October. We also paid $139. I wasn't able to get a better fare anywhere, but found some lower fares that applied only to the locals in UK or France.

Maybe I'm too late with this reply. but I just saw your question. New policy(March 13) has much cheaper fares. I just booked RT London-Paris for 59 pounds, but it wouldn't come up on the website. I called the London phone # and easily booked it for April. Good luck and have fun.

calif_girl, where did you find that rate? I'm trying to book two tickets for my parents in mid-May. What Web site are you referring to, and do you have the phone number you called handy?
