A very abstract question but if you had to move somewhere for a month to write a novel, essay or just to do some work you can do remotely.
Where would *you* go and when?

Ahhh...the mountains--the Alps, Rockies, Sierras, Cascades or others I have not seen yet. Late spring. I'd want a small town like Mittenwald or Murren. I'd live in a small cottage or cabin. Enough access to food and necessities. Enough isolation to work. The quiet and beauty of nature. Can I go now?

It WOULD BE Venice-it has been reliably demonstrated throughout the centuries, that some of the greatest writers and composers who ever lived on this earth composed and wrote some of their greatest works in this city.

I'd go to one of the islands in Scotland and rent a cottage (I'm thinking Skye because I know it), such beautiful scenery. You can be as sociable or not as you please. You could stay near an inn and local shop for interaction and essentials. You would also have access to many wonderful walks/hikes which may even give inspiration.
Another plus: if you go in winter, the weather would perhaps ensure that you stayed inside and completed your novel/essay

One month to write a novel? Oh my gawd...my husband just took a 6 month sabbatical and the book is only 70% completed.
Husband worked here in New Jersey, lakeside.....but he would also love to work on a book in Mendocino.
Me? Venice!!! Or if I wanted to feel more secluded...Belenheim in Alsace.

LOL Nikki!
I would want to be somewhere high..but with very few buildings around..maybe a cliff by an ocean and where I could take long walks and just gaze out at the natural surroundings..Cornwall sounds good, Italy does too.. soothing yet inspiring .. Usually, my best writing time is in the am..if it flows, then it doesn't matter where I am
