Dear Shopper:

You're in luck!!! We were just in Sorrento and the Amalfi coast in October and went WILD buying ceramics. I just got word from New York brokers that my shipments are just days away.

I have the web sites for the following:

Gargiulo & Jannuzzi in Sorrento - www.syrene.it/gaja

Solimene in Vietri Sul Mare - www.solimene.com

You may also want to try Sorrento On Line (not sure of the exact web address)

Good luck!!

I found LOTS of ceramics for MUCH less than what you saw on the website. I must say, though, that I prefer the more simple patterns like the folk art ceramics or pottery with lemons. In other words not ornate or complicated. The indricate patterns take MUCH more time to do. They are beautiful and works of art, but not what I would buy. So, it's a matter of personal taste - like everything else.

I'm glad to hear they are less expensive. I read several "I wish I had bought more ceramics" and I thought the drawback was how to get them home. Then I saw the prices on that website and decided that was the reason.

I guess I will just wait and see what we find when we get there next year!
Thanks.
