As someone said weather and most of these criteria vary from person to another. Some might like the American higher standard of living in material terms, but someone else might like the longer holidays we have in Europe. Someone else pays more attention to environmental protection issues or stability of the society. Those are all very nice things and always open to discussion about personal preferencies. This survey is just about these chosen criteria and thatīs it. Norway does well, so does the US.
Who is it to say one country really is better than another one? Many Americans seem to have problems with these kind of studies showing that America might not be the only good palce to live in the world. But I know that these people are just one part of the American public.
