>>You not getting away with that Luv.
Donald knew what he was doing. It had half a V8 , non existent brakes, paper manifolds, a cooling system like a sieve, leaky roof and a body that attracted rust like bees to honey. <<
Don't tell me -- I know I know . . . It blew a head gasket and Geoff Healey came to our house 50 miles from their garage in Warwick and changed it in our driveway. It was totaled out from under us on a late Dec evening by a British forces bus driver (drunk as a skunk on his way to pick up some kids for a Christmas concert - THANK GOD he hadn't collected the children yet).
But it WAS pretty
Malaga blue.
Used the insurance proceeds to buy the Morgan

BBgt, yep, it doesn't make any sense when you're meeting Mom, but since I'm also from Denver, the daily Icelandair direct flight to Reykjavik does it in 7:15 flat, a one hour layover (enough time for that $5.00 coffee) and two more hours puts you in Glasgow. I'm not sure what 'silly deals' are, but the prices are better than competitive, and best of all you entirely avoid the brain damage that is any east coast airport. This is now the ONLY way we go to Europe.

Oliverandharry - I just checked Icelandair, and it's much less expensive than United. You're right, though - it may not make sense for meeting up with my mom, unless she wants to fly out to Denver for a few days and then fly over together. We have plenty of time to figure it out.
I've been hearing others say they flew Icelandair and loved it. If not this trip, I'll have to try it sometime!

I've stopped over in Iceland three times on Icelandair flights - yes can be a good deal - and Iceland is nothing like you've ever seen before - the ride from Keflavik Airport, a U.S. military base too I think into Reykyavik is startling in that there is not a shred of vegetation in sight - just rocky desolate terrain.
If you have the chance go for it!

<<Seriously, I am really sorry - you and I had such a great plan worked out!
But we both agreed Cornwall would be our next trip>>
No need to apologise - if the north is speaking to you, that's where to go.
And Cornwall will still be here for your next trip.
