NORMANDY--NY Times article

I know that Julie V is headed this way soon...perhaps this will interest her, and others bound for Normandy:

Thanks eks. I was away over the weekend but my husband saved it for me. We leave August 22 and will be staying 2 nights in Honfleur --also Cancale, La Trinite sur Mer, St. Aubin sur mer, Val Andre--before a final two nights in Paris and a flight back to Ft. Lauderdale. Honfleur is one of our all time favorite cities. Hope the NYTimes article doesn't pack it up even more than usual but nice to know that their travel writers like some of the same places we do. Thanks for thinking of us. I see you're headed to Italy. Some of your selected locations look quite trail blazing. I'll look forward to hearing your report. Enjoy.

Woohoo! I made my hotel reservations for Honfleur last night.

Thanks, ekscrunchy!

I wish you both happy traveling!

I've been really taken with that area of France--to me NW France is one of the most beautiful parts of Europe and it certainly scores high on the food front-- but Italy seems to be to pre-empting other destinations on my own travel calendar. One issue is that my usual travel partner will take only one week from work at a time, so we cannot cover much ground..
