Normandy in Oct

Hello,
We are planning on being in Normandy in mid Oct following time in Paris. We would like to take an in depth tour of the WWII sites. There are many offered on the internet but I'm wondering what would be best. Has anyone had experience with Battlebus tours? They seem to offer a good 2 day tour

Bayeux is more convenient to many historical sites. Honfleur is pretty and you could stop there for lunch by the harbour enroute to Bayeux. The negative part of Honfleur is the view to Le Havre of the air polluting oil refineries. Bayeux is near to the DD beaches, has the famous tapistry and Mont St-Michel is a nice day trip from there.

We took a one day Battlebus tour and were very impressed with it. The guide was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, and it was a full day with stops at several WWII sites.

We leave for Paris in 2 weeks, and will be going to Bayeux for 2 nights in the middle of our trip. We have a tour scheduled with Battlebus, I'll post a report and a review of the tour when we get back.

Just wanted to report back. I've posted a detailed trip report separately. The Battlebus tour was phenomenal, I highly recommend it. Our guide was Stuart, and if you can arrange to have him, you won't be sorry. I'm sure all their guides are good though. This was the highlight of our trip.
Enjoy!
