Normandy guide Allan Bryson

Normandy battlefield tours. Wondering if anyone has used this guide recently. We used him 10 years ago and were hoping to do so again next year. His website is no longer valid.

The above neglects to mention that was posted in early 2011.

Thank you for the info. You provided an email address for Alan and I have reached out to see if he’s still in business. Thanks again

You are welcome. It's a lead, at least.

One of the three guides mentioned is still available. Maybe that's someone to consider if Allan is no longer available.

I went last May with a small group that hired one of the big bus guides. I like the idea of a private guide. I'll do that next time, if I return.

Good luck!

Hi again,
I just saw your post in the cruises forum. I can't help you with Scotland but I used this company with a trip out of London. They also offer Normandy/ D-day tours.
Worth checking out anyway -

I talked with "Jo" online and she set something up that worked well for me.

We had tours with both Dale Booth and Paul Woodage and both of them are excellent guides. Not sure that Paul is still doing tours but we used Dale Booth for 2 days in 2023. You cannot go wrong with either of these guys!

Those were the two other names listed in post #2. Good to hear they are both good choices.

Overlord Tours are top rated for DDay tours in Normandy, they have both the regular bus tours as well as smaller 8 seater vans. They offer a variety of options and all of their guides are excellent, you may like to check their website and email them for a quote.

Just as a follow up, The email I sent bounced back and I have found no reviews for him since 2023. So I guess he is out of the tour guide game. Too bad he was exceptional

Thanks for reporting back. I was not optimistic, but I hoped you would be able to connect with him.

2019 is the latest review I can find of him still guiding. I hope he is well and just retired.

Have a great return trip!
