We've been extremely lucky thus far except I have to say that Niagara Falls ranks lowest on my list - very underwhelming. We were not expecting to love it but we did expect more of it. There are other larger, better and untouristy falls in the country.

I just glanced at my list of countries that I've been to and of the over 2 dozen, the only one that was just so-so for me was Barbados. I absolutley loved the ocean views and it was very relaxing. But, I'm from California, and have ocean views on a regular basis. I went there to relax from a lot of stress and was able to do that. But, as far as things to do there...outside of water-related activities.... I felt really bored. Happy Travels!

Uruguay! A wonderful country with a European culture and attitude. Good food, interesting cities, great beaches. No ancient ruins, but there are forts and sites from Portugese and Spanish colonization. And it is inexpensive. Just go someplace other than Punte del Este.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Walking to drugstore from ship, a young Jamaican man decided to accompany me without asking - offered me
drugs - (now really, why would you offer a 50'ish conservative woman "drugs" ?)
upon arrival at the drugstore held his hand out to be paid for "showing me" where the drugstore was. Entire nature of the town and its people.Uncomfortable.
Same trip - Cayman Islands -
banks, banks, real estate offices, and more banks. Nothing of interest to see or do unless you're big on expensive shopping in the "mall" right off the pier.

I think it's all about your expectations.. for example, Hawaii...it wasn't what I thought it would be but now I love it.
I also dreamed of going to Thailand... and although I loved the Wats, Sunday Market and the surrounding mountains, Chiang Mai is really is just a dirty, noisy, traffic clogged city and sooooooooo HOT...I had a near heat stroke in April.
Not as all romantic as I had imagined..
I don't think I could handle India as they say it is worse..
