Where is the top areas for bars/cafes in Copenhagen that are fun and quirky. We do not like clubs but more bars with an edge or Live Music per say.

Is there specific blocks or places you can recomend?

Thanks

Christiana is quirky and very popular with locals - that will fit your bill - said to be the 2nd most visited site in Copenhagen after Tivoli Christiana started as a commune in the 60s and is one of the few to survive though it has changed a lot it still has a renegade look and feeling - yup quirky as heck and also has some acclaimed restaurants - walk around the site to see the eclectic home-made dwelling and still the trappings of a 60s commune - this is the "Free Town" of Christiana.

And I believe if into cannabis it is still sold over the table on the famed Pusher Street and smoked anywhere in this enclave - yes quirky as heck as the images above attest to.

Go to the Stroget (look it up), also look up Tivoli Gardens and - for music - Montmartre.
