If you go to Nice don't miss the walk round Cap Ferrat.

Wonderful news! My preliminary list of questions includes whether anyone would recommend that particular walk. I believe its an easy walk of about 2 hours, and would be reasonable for a solo traveler? Over the years, I've experienced just enough injuries while walking -- thankfully, quite minor -- to make sure I check.

Yes, the walk is not difficult, and the views are great. I think the west side is more rewarding.

This is a link to my photos from one of my Nice visits, the walk starts at photo 54. I'm afraid they are completely unedited....

These are also unedited, from an earlier trip. Start at 190.

Yes, I'd recommend the walk around Cap Ferrat as well. There is a similar one near Antibes as well. Since the original report was nearly nine years ago, I'd note that Nice has probably changed even more, a rarity in Europe. There has been a large, new public promenade/park installed right down the center of town further expanding and connecting the renovated major squares and promenades. And next year, the second tram line will open from the airport to the center (and later in the year, to the Port, a district now less gritty than 10 years ago).

@ gooster: Thanks for making sure I am aware of the walk near Antibes -- it is also on my radar. And BTW, while I appreciate your caution (and that of others) about the age of this trip report, I'm not relying on this or any other trip report for current information. I'm using trip reports to supplement my research with guidebooks and internet resources.
