Trieste, Venice, Paris, Florence in 10 days - doable?
My friend and are are visiting a friend in Trieste so looking to fly into Florence, take night train to Paris and spend a few days there, take night train back and spend 2 days in Florence, then visit them in Trieste with a day trip to Venice. Is this feasible with the travel times? For reference we're both girls in our 30's so we can keep up pretty well, but dont' want to waste all our precious time "wasting" our time traveling and that's why we're looking at the night trains.

As Michel said, 'open jaw' flight. Fly into Paris and out of Florence. You can take a local flight 'Easyjet.com' from Paris Orly to Venice, one way, on an 7:35am flight [under two hours and cheap]. Then train when leaving Trieste/Venice to Florence. So, 3 or 4 days in each city. Doable. Richard

No - it won't work. First, you have too many places for too few days. Second you are bouncing aruond like a ping png ball.
IMHO Paris doesn't fit in this trip. Just leave it for another time.
Ifyou must do Paris, fly there first - then into Venice/Trieste and bag Florence,

Hi; That would work for us. Because you will not arrive in Pisa until 2pm, you need to check closing times of the main sights. They are all in one area. No time to waste. Take a cab from the airport. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/pisa

I can't see spending just one day in Venice. Wait until another trip and spend 3 or 4 days there. That's what we did a few year ago, and someday I'll go back and spend a week.
You'll see the few obligatory sites but you really won't see or feel the city.

I'd spend that day in Tuscany for an extra one in Venice.
On paper everything sounds doable, but being tired also affects how much you enjoy a trip. I visited Paris, Venice, Milan and Nice in 17 days when I was in my 20's and, even though I'm not the kind of guy who gets tired easily, by the time I got to Nice, I was exhausted and ready to go home.
Castellanese.

We're still debating between the day trip in Tuscany - which would be to Siena or an extra day in Venice per the advice given here. It's just that hotels are so expensive in venice compared to florence!!
