New Year's Eve Wedding Anniversary in Brussels?
Hi
My husband and I will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary on New Year's Eve (always makes for a wonderful New Year's Eve!)
We are planning to travel between Bruges (Dec 28-30, 2013), Brussels (Dec 31-Jan 1) and Amsterdam (Jan 2 -3, 2014). Since we are planning to be in Brussels for the big day, we are looking for a great place to go for dinner/drinks on NYE and a nice dinner on New Year's Day.
We like all kinds of food (not interested in Asian cuisine as we live in Singapore and eat enough of that kind every other day of the year). We would be looking for something special (and maybe unique) for New Year's Eve and then heading to Grand-Palace for some fun and drinks (or other suggestions of places to go are very welcome!) We would also like any ideas for a great place for New Year's Day lunch/dinner as well (as I am aware that lots of places will be closed on this holiday).
Any suggestions would be great. We would love to make our time there and our celebration very special
Thank you for any help you can give!

Hi Korourke, I hope someone from Brussels will answer your question (I'm from Antwerp and not that familiar with the latest thing in Brussels), but maybe Belga Queen. It's a beautiful restaurant, and has a bar and club as well, so they're sure to do something for NYE. They serve Belgian food, and they have a very large selection of Belgian beers too.
We will actually be in Singapore at that time; can you recommend something for us? Not NYE, but the week before.

World Reversal!
Some places of interest in Singapore
Marina Bay Sands - the hotel lobby is beautiful and the view is great from the top (it costs about $20 just to go to the top and you can't swim in the pool, but the view is great). Drinks at Ku De Ta are about $20-$30 per drink. There are lots of amazing restaurants at the Sands Shopping Mall attached to Marina Bay.
Gardens by the Bay - really amazing and the Supertree Garden is also fantastic.
Orchard Road - main shopping district and Singapore goes all out for Christmas decorations here. The lights are beautiful and no expenses are spared with all the decorations there.
Go for some local hawker food at Makansutra Glutton's Bay http://www.esplanade.com.sg/eat_drin..._bay/index.jsp
The SEA (Aquarium) over on Sentosa Island is very impressive. It will be crowded but it is a fantastic aquarium.
The Singapore Zoo is fab too - very open and not like other zoos where cages and fences are noticable. Most of the animals are kept in areas enclosed by moats and have electrical chips (must like invisible dog fences). You can have breakfast with the Orangutans as well. The Night Safari is a nice alternative to the regular zoo area. A River Safari has just opened here - I have never been but it probably is really fantastic (as most things of this nature are).
Botanical Gardens and the Orchid Gardens are also fantastic and a nice place to have a picnic and people watch.
Happy to provide you with more too - let me know a bit about what you are looking for to help me narrow it down for you

This site has lots of restaurants in Brussels listed. For NYE you will need to book, and asap!
Sadly this doesn't seem to running on NYE, but it sounds fun, and different!

Hi Korourke, you might try posting this on the Tripadvisor website - it has a lot of people currently living in Brussels posting and who will have visited restaurants recently.
Another website you might try is www.resto.be - very comprehensive website with latest restaurants.
