New Years Destination 2014
My partner and I are looking to spend new years in Europe, we are newly living in London and pretty easy going about where we want to go, when and for how long. We don't know much about Europe so any information about travelling around that time would be helpful. So whats the best city in Europe for New Years?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There are so many choices! We are heading to Burgundy this year but have done the following:
Paris - no fireworks but great food and Xmas atmosphere

Tuscany - great food, very few English tourists

Portugal - Lisbon was great fun and very affordable

You may not be aware of it, but London on New Year's Eve is a fantastic place to be. There's lots to see and do, ending with the fireworks display over the Thames at midnight. If I was in new to London but living there, it would be my first choice.
