New one month Spain pass from Renfe

http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/via...ass/index.html

One good thing is to be able to cancel a ticket online up to 15 minutes before departure and have that trip put back onto your pass with no penalty.

But will you actually be able to purchase the pass online when so many are unable to purchase a single ticket online? It appears to be part of the same terrible system that has pleagued us for the last two years after Renfe "upgraded" their online service.

I know. But at least it is available and could be bought at the airpot, etc to begin journeys immediately without worrying about fares, etc.

Normally I would advise against any rail pass for Spain but, for once, the prices look attractive.
http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/via...s/precios.html

I had to chuckle when I read "Renfe Spain Pass is a pass that allows non-residents in Spain to travel around the country." I am resident in Spain but all I have is a certificate to prove that.

That is because I hold a passport from another EU member state. There is nothing in my passport that marks me out as a resident. So I could walk up and buy a pass without anyone being any the wiser.

I will not, of course, since I have no urge to travel that much and I would not like to take advantage of RENFE´s foolishness.
