New Frontiers-Tower Air

Does anyone know anything good or bad about New Frontiers-Tower Air. They quote a round trip price of $318 from New York to Paris from April 1 to June 15, and similar rate after that. That seems a little too good to be true.

My husband and I flew Tower Air for $298 to Amsterdam three years ago. We found you get what you pay for. It was a vile airline. The food was awful, the plane was unclean and the flight crew was the nastiest I have ever encountered. Maybe they have shaped up since then, but I have vowed never to fly that airline again no matter what the price.

The food was awful, the plane was unclean and the flight crew was the nastiest I have ever encountered. Additionally, on the flight home, they would not let me take my carry-on bag on the plane. They said it was too heavy, even though they didn't weigh it and it was almost empty. I was also told that since the plane had flown from Bombay, there would be no room for my carry on because those passengers took the available space. Maybe they have shaped up since then, but I have vowed never to fly that airline again no matter what the price.

Never flown it, but also heard bad things about
Tower Air, like previous comment. New Frontiers
is a travel agency, however, based in France, I
think--they've been around over there a long time
(called Nouvelles Frontieres in Europe). They put
together a lot of French vacation packages, but I
thought they usually used Air France. Guess they're
doing some cheaper ones with Tower Air. I'm
registered with Travelocity (travel WEB site) and
have them notify me whenever you can get a RT air
fare Washington DC-Paris for LT $400 RT (very cheap)
and they just notified me this week that about 6
major airlines have fares for $390 RT (NW, KLM, TWA,
Delta and a couple others, I think). I checked
restrictions, and there aren't any obvious ones I
could see other than the usual advance purchase stuff.
So try these regular airlines & maybe you can get
one as (or almost) as cheap.

I flew Tower Air on a previous study trip to Europe. It's awful. The food was horrible, they didn't turn the lights down during the "night" for people to sleep, the staff was not friendly. I would most definitely not recommend that airline.
