Neuf Brisach, Alsace

I'm looking for lodging in this little town and haven't been able to find much information. We're considering 2 hotels - Deux Roses or L'Europeen - anybody familiar with these?
Also would appreciate input on this area.
Thanks

Anne, In May of 1998 we took a side trip on our cycle tour of the Rhine to visit Neuf-Brisach. It's a small town, but interesting (to me) for the fortifications designed by Vauban. We didn't stay the night, we had lodging in Freiburg and took the train from Freiburg to Breisach and cycled across the Rhine. For information on the area, try to get "Insight Guides, Alsace", ISBN 0-395-66299-0.

Anne, we were in Alsace two years ago and stayed at the Deux Clefs in Turckheim, a charming little town with a night watchman. The whole area isn't very big and you could stay almost anywhere. Colmar is probably the largest city, and south of that it's not half as interesting as the part from Colmar up to Strasbourg. It's a great area to visit--enjoy.

We stayed at the Deux Clefs in Turckheim. Alsace is not very big and the most interesting part is from Colmar to Strasbourg. Agree that the wine and food are out of this world. Tarte flambe is especially good for lunch. Enjoy.
