Need to call UK from my Irish mobile

I have an 086 mobile #. Will be in London and need to make a local London call. What # do I dial before 44? Thanks!

Sorry, not sure I understand. I would either dial "0044 then the number" or "+44 then the number"? Is that right?

I appreciate your help.

yes, that's right. If the number without the internationl code starts with a 0, drop the 0. So 01224 (Aberdeen) becomes 00 44 (or +44) 1224. OK?
