Need Restaurant Advice S. Tuscany

We will pick up our rental car in Chiusi at the train station on Monday Sept 13th and drive to our hotel, Palazzo del Capitano in San Quirico d'Orcia. Looking for a good restaurant with terrace views for lunch. Your suggestions please....

Caffe Poliziano in Montepulciano is perfect for that scenario. Ask the locals to find it. I am jealous.

About 2.5 miles southwest of Montalcino, which is a bit closer to San Quirico d'Orcia, is another nice restaurant with great views of the countryside. It's called Poggio Antico, and is on the road that heads in the direction of Monte Antico. Follow signs that say "Poggio Civitella." Hope you enjoy it.

My recommendation would be Buccon di Vino just outside Montalcino. Beautiful setting, outdoor terrace, magnificent views...and the food and were were great too!

But, she is driving from Chiusi--why have lunch in Montalcino or south of Montalcino?
