Our trip to Greece has been extended by one day, and I need a hotel for one night for 6 people. We leave tomorrow for our trip and I am asking for opinions on which area to stay because I don't have the time to research! Group consists of my husband and I, two 19 year old females, and my son and his wife (30). Moderately priced would be good! Any suggestions?

We loved Athens Gate hotel.

Stay central near the Metro system. If you choose a hotel between the Monastiraki and Syntagma Stations you can easily get out to the airport or anywhere else nearby. Attalos Hotel, Acropolis View, Cecil Hotel, Arethusa Hotel, Omiros Hotel

You'll want to stay in the Monistiraki, Plaka or Sygtagma areas.

We always stay at the Attalos Hotel on Athinas St., one of the best budget-friendly hotels in the city. Clean, safe and centrally located to everything one goes to Athens for. Lots of options but the Attalos is our favorite.

A short walk to the Metro for the airport and close to the Central Markets and other excellent shops, markets and tavernas.

We liked Hotel Plaka--great location and roof top terrace has a nice view of the Acropolis.

Jamikins, thanks, we are staying at Athens Gate in October after numerous recommendations from friends. But Hera also has great recommendations, less $, and in Plaka.
