Need help with metric conversion!

Trying to decide on hotel room, and it's down to room size. Can anyone tell me what 10 squared meters converts into square feet? Don't want to get stuck in a shoebox, and I just can't figure this out. Thanks for any help!

10 sq metres is slightly less than 100 sq feet.
Try the converter at:

http://www.french-property.com/ref/convert.htm

(BTW, 10 m2 is *small* -- just over 100 square feet)

Good luck!

- Quicksilver -

Not to be snobbish, but I guess some of us use a different metric system...!

1 meter = 3.3 feet
1m^2 = (3.3 feet)^2
= 10.89 square feet

Therefore, 10 square meters equal 108.9 square feet.

If the room had symmetrical dimensions (and most rooms dont!), your room would be more or less 10.4 feet wide by 10.4 feet long.

Have a good day.

In general, it is fairly close to estimate by multiplying the meters by 10 and then "rounding up" a little, by about 10 pct -- ie, 10 m2 is about 100 sq ft + 10 (110 sq ft ), 25 m2 is about 250 sq ft + 25 (it's really about 272). Since a meter is more than a foot, squared metere would have to be more than the equiv. squared feet.

That is a decent size for a bathroom. How big is the bedroom?
