Need help with hotels in Zurich

I have done a search on the site for hotel recommendations in Zurich, and found a few which came high recommended like the Helmhaus hotel, and Kandli Hotel. But they are all out of my budget! Can anyone suggest a decent, clean hotel at about CHF140 (single room)?

I have had recommendations for Hotel Rutli, and Rossli ... how are these hotels?

thanks for all help!

Go to www.zurichtourism.ch. There is also an English version. You'll find the prices there. The Rütli and Rössli don't look too bad and are central. I would favour the Rütli. There is also the Walhalla close to the central railway station. The Helmhaus and Kindli are indeed more expensive. Good luck and regards from Zurich. Don't miss to make a trip on the lake!

Martine: try the www.martahaus.ch (English site available). Close to the central rail way station as well. Sort of a youth hostel, I think for women only. Looks nice and clean. Price: SFr. 65.- breakfast incl.!!

The Hotel Rossli is wonderful!! It is clean and has tastfully decorated rooms. They are very clean and in the old town which is far superior. It's like being on the left bank in Paris. It is a small cozy hotel, basic but very nice, right in the middle of everything, but tucked away on a small street. You'll love it!!!

Good afternoon, Martine
Have to vote for the KINDLI have used
it about 8 times since 1987 and have been very satisified with its service
and accomodations. Also it is in a
quite location about less than 10mins
taxi ride from the Bahnhof.
