Need help with a room in dublin!

Hi All,

Our trip is just a little over 3 months away and we've decided to add a jaunt to Dublin (overnight stay) - we have a place in Adare - but we want to get another room in Dublin overnight - Any suggestions for an INEXPENSIVE place. We've have a range of ages from 30-70 and don't want to be in the 'pub and loud noise area' - would like to stay at 35-45 euros per person - any suggestions would be really appreciated!
Blessings, Irishgal

We really liked this place. I don't know if it is in your budget or not.

Check out the Trinity College in Dublin website - they do rent rooms - not sure if this is year around.

I second the vote for Cassidy's Hotel. It is very easy to get to from the airport and it is in a nice quiet area.

If memory serves, Trinity only makes rooms available during the summer months.

These apartments worked out well for us. They also have Hostel beds.

The apartments are on the 5th floor and we really did not notice much noise.

Have fun!

When you book, try to remember to ask if there's a disco in the hotel basement because it won't matter how many floors up you are. Also try to ask for a quieter off-street side room. I love ya, Ireland but you've got some loud people!

We stayed at the Portobello Hotel and it was fine, plus they had a wonderful breakfast.

Also, look at http://www.laterooms.com/

Thanks All!!!

Will be checking out those sites!

Can't do the 5th floor - if it's a walk-up with a senior in our group.

It's just an overnight stay - I think we can tolerate almost..lol - anything!

I was in Dublin spring 2007 and stayed near the airport at a Quality Inn. Do not know if that is in your price range. I walked in to Swords and had the best meal of my trip. I wish I could remember the name of the pub. It is on the right side of the main street past the clothing store. Have a wonderful and safe trip I ave a few tidbits on my blog if you wish to read them
