Need help calling Paris!
I'm a bit confused as to what numbers you need to put in front of the number you are trying to call. I'm from the US, and this is the number my hotel gave me:<BR><BR>65 34 68 177<BR><BR>I think the number I should call is this:<BR><BR>011 33 65 34 68 177, but aren't their too many numbers?

Something is definitely not right here. To call Paris from the US you should begin with 011 33 1 and then eight more digits. I suspect that the 1 before the last 77 should just be moved to the front, before the 65, but I wouldn't feel sure enough of that to give it a try. Perhaps if you could tell me the name of your hotel I could find the number in a Red Guide or online somewhere.

According to their website the tel. no. of the Hotel du Bois is 01.45.00.31.96.<BR>To call from outside France you eliminate the first 0, so from the US, you would dial 011 33 1 45 00 31 96. I don't know what the other no. is unless it connects you with a booking agency. Hope this helps.

you don't put the 0 in front of the 1 (Paris "area code" in front of the 8 digit no.) if you are calling from outside France, as Betty noted. However, you should check that number as I don't think it can be a Paris phone number, they don't begin with "65", that's down in SW France. It could be a booking service down in the Dordogne area.<BR><BR>

I have just found that first no. you mentionned. It is for the Holiday City corporate office... in Singapore! 65 is the code for Singapore, so I presume if you wanted to call them, you would just dial 011 plus the number as it was given to you. Their site says they are 8 hours ahead of GMT. (Seems like it should be more for Singapore, but that is what it says.)
