Need help buying Alhambra ticket!

I want to buy my tickets now. If I buy the day time visit pass and have my entrance for 11am (morning pass)..will that allow me to stay all day? On the website, it says that the daytime pass is good for the Alcazaba, the Nasrid Palaces and the Generalife. So if I arrive at 11am, can I visit any of these places till it closes? Do I have to visit the Palace at 11am and then can go whereever I want? Thanks for any information you can provide.

Your ticket time is for the Nasrid Palace. YOu an visit everything else before or after the palace but you must be at the Nasrid palace at your appointed time. Our ticket was for 5:00 pm and we arrived at 3:00 pm, visited all the other sites and then went to the palace at 5:00 pm

Thanks Syliam...now one more question. What is a perfect way to see the Alhambra. Where would you start? How would you tour it? I'm thinking of spending about 6 hours there-is that enough? We have a real history nut in our group so want to give him lots of time. If others in the group want to go for a drink etc. is there anywhere within the grounds to do that? Also where would you suggest for lunch if we don't leave the grounds? I guess I'm looking for one perfect day at the Alhambra!

Hi, I went to purchase tickets on line and it is not a secure site. Is there a way to mail a check? Has anyone had problems with this? Thanks in advance.

Why not ask your hotel to arrange the tickets for you? This way you can pay when you arrive. Or they can organise a conducted tour for you where you are picked up at your hotel & returned after your tour.

I was nervous about the unsecure site as well,so I called direct. The lovely lady spoke good English and was very helpful. From the US:
011-34-91-537/9178. Our tickets for the palace are for 11:00 am. She claims admission is from 8:30 - 2:30 pm only. Hopefully they won't kick us out.

I bought my ticket on line and our "admission" is for 1pm. It is my understanding that we fall within the "morning visit" and we can comeas early as we wish and stay all day. We just have to be there for the Nasrid Palace visit at 1pm. I hope I'm understanding that correctly because the charge has already been taken from my credit card!

Canuck - you are correct. And I would suggest going when it opens (8 or 8:30, I think). When I was there we wandered around with no crowds in the morning, but by 11am it was pretty mobbed, and that was in February. We were so happy that we were done around 1pm and had seen a lot in the morning.

For both of you - if you go at 8:30, even if you do have to leave by 2:30, that should be plenty of time.

It is wonderful, have a great time.
