Naples Train Station
I've been looking at the trenitalia web site for trains from Naples to Rome and I found one that leaves from Napoli Piazza Garibaldi. Most of the trains leave from Napoli Centrale which I am aware is on the upper level. Is anyone familiar with where one would catch the train leaving from Piazza Garibaldi? Is it on the lower level? If so, where? I am not aware of any trains except the Circumvesuviana and Metropolitana that leave from the lower level. Help please!

It sounds like they are both part of the same station. I found this reference on the web:
"At the eastern end of piazza Garibaldi, frequent mainline trains arrive at Napoli Centrale from Rome and from the south. Longer-distance trains also come from Milan, Bologna and Florence. Eurostar services arrive at a part of the station which is confusingly called Napoli Piazza Garibaldi, even though it’s part of the same complex."
In addition, the website for Stazione Centrale is www.napolipiazzagaribaldi.it

Yes it can be confusing at 1st .
The Piazza Garibaldi Train Station is actually just the downstairs Metropolitana Station.
There are 4 tracks, 2 for the metro and 2 for the regular trains.
You actually travel thru the metro tunnel and past the metro stops when you arrive or depart on the Naples/Rome leg.
The Departure Boards in the Centrale Station will list your train's Track Number something like 'PG1' or 'PG2' meaning Piazza Garibaldi and then either track 1 or 2. Regards, Walter
