Sounds like a fabulous trip-thanks for sharing. We were among the hordes of Americans in Positano in Oct. it was ghastly. We left after one night. sorry we didn't stay where u did. Would u mind giving a URL for the apt in Rome. Hoping to get back there. Thanks!

Toppnig this in hopes rosetravels sees it. We are thinking of going to the Cilento on our way from Naples to Sicily & had a couple questions about the area.
Would it make sense to spend 3 nights at your first location and explore from there? Your TR makes it sound fairly easy to get around and we would prefer not to move so often. Where dd you find info on the region. I've been looking in travel books and not finding much descriptions. Thanks

Rose - great TR. a real keeper - thanks for taking the trouble to post it.
It was a straight shot north from our hotel and the street was lined with musical shops. There were shops that made musical instruments and shops that sold musical instruments of all kinds. It was interesting to look in the windows.>>
i remember walking down that street last February after we'd been to the NAM, but unfortunately it was raining too much to tarry. Next time!
