Hi again Myer!

The local train is called the Circumvesuviana. I don't recall the name of the main Naples station, but to transfer to the Circumvesuviana, you buy your ticket, then go downstairs. The tracks for the local trains are a level lower.

Do a search here using the words "Circumvesuviana", or "Sorrento". You will find lots of detailed answers from the past.

Buon viaggio!

Myer - Between Sorrento and Campo Flegrei I think you have to change at Napoli P. Garibaldi (the main Naples station).

There's a map on:
http://web.tiscali.it/defalco_ivanoe/trasporti/neti/trasp.html

Hope this helps ...

Steve

Myer is that the Campi Flegrei *Metro* station? If so Steve is correct. Take the metro to the Piazza Garibaldi stop. (BTW Garibaldi and the Centrale Naples Train Station are the same station just on different levels). It's an easy switch to the Circumvesuviana (CV), just follow the signs. Just to walk you thru it: Garibaldi Station only has 4 tracks and 1 exit. Go up the escalator/stairs and turn right, walk 25m and the CV ticket windows are on the left, go down the long hall, thru the turnstiles and then down the stairs to the CV platform. There are only 4 tracks and you will most likely want track/bin #3. The departure board on the track will list the Sorrento train and the departure time also Sorrento will be displayed on the front of the 1st car (like a bus). It's ~100m between the two trains and signposted, the CV train will arrive from the right. Regards, Walter
