The last time I checked, and I do check very often, I was a male. Don't tell the LW about the checking and rechecking part!

Wow, what an enlightening thread. I'm pleased some have owned up to having no life except here on the boards. Anyone know whether they might step it up and get a board certification. The new Doctor Phils of Fodors, LOL, oh how awful.

I was ncgrrl before registration, so I stayed with it. Back when I first came here, about 5 years ago, it was the waning of the term 'grrl' (young, tech savvy). However, I don't think I was as young as the demographers wanted in the grrl category. But I felt young Anyway, I think it says a lot in short amount of space. Maybe now I would register as 'ncgirl' since it's often misspelled.

By the way, when registration first started, I registed as ncgrrl and didn't get an offer for a freebie. Then I registered under another name (a 'real' name, but not my own) and received an offer for a freebie. I filled out the proper forms but never did get the freebie. I haven't used that second id since about a month after registration because it was too difficult for me to keep up with it. Also, since I don't suffer from a split-personality disorder it wasn't worth the confusion I was causing for myself.

SuzieC, I wonder when I can call myself an 'old broad' or someother term that others would find ugly and I will turn it into something pretty.

Since we economize and share one Fodor name.... who in their right mind would want all those extra identities... I guess you can say we are half and half.

Gee... maybe someone should sign up as MKingdom3 and see what curiosities sparks?

The name Degas seems to me to be rather sexy too. I won't tell if you won't.

Had planned to visit your house in New Orleans on my recent trip, but time didn't allow. Have you been there of late?

I'm a male, and but for the time I nearly passed out after badly cutting my figure at a Paris Cafe, not a girlie man. Even if the waiter did make mention of something about "my sister passes out from blood too."

But, Ryan is my son's name and not mine.

I do miss some aspects of the days before registration like the ability to toss out the random troll post. I usually went for humor and not something moronic like, oh I don't know, wondering why Firenze isn't called Florence.

sandi_travelnut...girl but not a girlie girl. More of a tomboyish girl. Love to garden and get my hands dirty, barefoot, tree-hugger type.
