Mykonos Hotels
Hello,
I am trying to find a luxury hotel walking distance to Mykonos town for our honeymoon in July but having trouble finding one with the private beach. Can someone recommend a great hotel with great location , with the private beach and all the amenities? Thank you

It's been a few years since we spent two weeks on Mykonos but as far as I am (still) aware there are no luxury hotels within a comfortable walking distance of Mykonos town that have a private beach. Plenty have pools though such as the town located Hotel Belvedere, Cavo Tagoo (not Hotel Tagoo - a great hotel but not luxury graded), or Theoxenia.
I've read many messages here about the beautiful part of the island called Agios Iannis, close to the town. I think I read that from there to town is about 10 minutes by local bus or perhaps less if you use a hotel's own transport. The Mykonos Grande is located there which is a 5 star hotel with a private beach. Check its reviews on Trip Advisor.

There are no private beaches in Greece, but you can find so called "private beaches", where you have to pay for sunbeds etc.. Only the Greek Army has private beaches.
Agios Ioannis is a very nice area. Quiet and not far from lively town.

We stayed at the Petasos Beach Hotel in Platis Yialos in Sept. It is a 10 min bus ride to town. I highly recommend it. No private beach but a lovely spot. There are public beaches in a 2 minute walk. Also, the water taxi to other beaches. I booked this hotel through their website and they upgraded our room when we arrived. The room was gorgeous and staff very friendly.

A few years ago we stayed at The Princess...it's a it outtown, it can be walked, but the owner is forever driving peopleinto town
as he goes in several times a day for shopping, etc. It has a quiet beach and a beautiful pool...we liked it. The week we were there, Ted Turner and Jane Fonda were also staying there...and they never invited us for lunch.
