My new red jacket in Paris?

I just bought a lightweight red (kind of tomato bisque colored, not ski-wear red) water resistant jacket for a Paris trip in late May. I know this may be a silly question, but will I feel out of place (like a loud American, which I'm not) in a bright colored jacket? It's cute, it's got some style, but should I go back and get the black one instead? Thanks, fashion advisors!

Don't forget to carry a red balloon to go with your jacket. Then you will really be a Parisian.

PS Rent the French film, "Red."

Since the jacket is a subtle shade of red and not a neon red, it will look terrific in the photos, and in person.

Plus, your travel partner, if there is one, will find it easy to spot you, if you wander off.

John G, this is the first time I've seen the short movie "The Red Ballon" mentioned on this Paris-obsessed board. I saw it when I was seven years old; it made me cry like a baby. High tragedy in my infant mind; I never forgot. Then I found and rented it a few years ago. I cried like a bigger, older baby. Sorry for the digression.

yah, but "Red" is not "The Red Balloon" (There's also a "White" and a "Blue"...or more specifically, Rouge, Blanc et Bleu) ;^)

Yes, I'm familiar with the movies "Red" "White" and "Blue", but John G also mentioned a red balloon, which I assumed was a cute reference to the 1950's French movie "The Red Balloon", a garçon-and-his-balloon story. Am I right?

Anybody out there willing to admit Red, Blue and White are positively the most overdone french films you've ever seen?

The movie series is based on the French tricolore: bleu, blanc, rouge.

Red, White and Blue are used to describe only the American flag.

Now we've got someone objecting to the use of three common English adjectives together to refer to anything other than the American flag. I hope it's a joke.
What if I've got three hamsters named Red, White, and Blue? Will I be getting a visit from the Stars and Stripes Police if I mention them?
Stars and Stripes. What if I have two ponies named Stars and Stripes?

Now Rhett ,stop making a fuss! I positively loved Blue and White and Red.I know that there are probably other movies that appeal to you more, perhaps those based in the South somewhere?

Scarlett, you don't have to answer the question about the red jacket. We KNOW how you would vote on that.
