My 9 day plan for UK
I have 2 days' stay just for London alone, and after which I will join a tour to Europe, and will end up in London again. Then I will have another 7 days in the UK. I intend to go to the following: Windsor/Stonhenge/Bath/Lake/Manchester/York/Edinburgh.
I have to end up in Glasgow from Edinburgh because I have a connecting flight there.
Was thinking about several issues
1) Is this schedule too tight? It seems a little crazy i know.
2) Should I not stick to London for the 2 seperate days but travel out to Windsor/Stonehenge?
I don't really intend to stay at every stop; but just to see the main attractions.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
Thanks..

The part I'm familiar with doesn't sound too tight -- you can certainly see Windsor and Stonehenge on your first day out of London, spend 2 nights in Bath, seeing Bath on the full day, then hit the road towards the Lakes on the morning of your third day.

How do you plan to do this - renting a car and driving or by public transport?

If you are doing it by train here is how I would do it instead -

Stay in London 2 more days after you return from Europe. On one of those days take a guided tour to Stonehenge and Bath. One of your days in London (during either the 1st two or the 2nd 2two) take the train to Windsor and spend half a day there.

Spend the 3rd - 5th nights in York. On one of those days take a guided bus tour
of the Dales or Lakes (they sell tours from the tourist information Office in the center of York). Then spend your last two days in Edinburgh and then take a short train ride to Glasgow to catch your flight.
