Munich question for Peep

Oops--forgot to click on Germany, so if your see this twice, this is why.

Herr Peep,
I recall past discussions in which you indicated that you live in Munich. We are planning our first stay there in late April. Do you know of a supermarket in the Sendlinger Tor area where we are staying? Danke!

JN, there is no Germany board, just a Europe Board. The Germany tab is just useful when using the "search" tab, ergo, the double post on the Europe Board.

Not to worry, a lot of new people to this board seem to do this, and it happens frequently on the United States Board where they will double post under U.S. and then the individual State.

Where exactly are you staying? Sendlinger is not far from the Viktualienmarkt, the best grocery store in town! Not the cheapest, but you can find all sorts of good stuff there! If you want to e-mail me, my address is [email protected]. Hope you enjoy your trip!

We'll be staying at the Herzog-Wilhelm -23 HW Strasse. Just looking for a supermarket for Mineralwasse, toiletries etc. and hoped one would be in the area.

Was I incorrect in assuming it is "Herr" Peep?

Thanks again.

Why thank you, Scarlett. ar ar ar Actually I'm Frau Peep.
So JN, I don't recall seeing any grocery stores on that street but down at Karlsplatz, underground in the train station, are several grocery stores. Most of the big department stores have grocery stores in their basements, like Hertie at Karlsplatz. In the pedestrian area between Karlsplatz and Marienplatz are several department stores with grocery stores downstairs. I don't think there's a grocery store on Sendlinger Strasse but there are lots of other shops and probably drugstores. They may be a little shop on your street that sells water and stuff. Have fun!

Danke, Gnadige FRAU Peep. I'm appreciative of your information and am indeed looking forward to our first stay in Muenchen. Should be fun.
