Any info on the hotel and the surrounding area (safe at nightime?)

Hello John,

I don`t know the hotel myself...but it`s in Schwanthalerstrasse south of the Hauptbahnhof (main train station).
It should be safe at nightime, in fact I`m very often in Munich and can`t think of a really dangerous area.
I don`t know why you`ve picked this one. I had a look at the rates in my Varta Guide and the rates shown there are beatable by a lot of other, really nice hotels in good neighbourhoods-not near the train station. Unless your rate is very cheap or you have a special reason for your choice I would think of another hotel, but not because it`s dangerous.

Joe if somebody had answered him first time around he wouldnt have had to revive it. Be nice. If the motive is to get answers, not knock someone else's comments why not keep trying. I hope he gets all the info he needs.

Thanks to all of you for your kind response to my "persistent" questions (even Joe). I asked again because I only received a total of 2 responses previously and needed a little more info to make my decision. I'm satisfied that I will probably stay there, like the proximity to the train station since I will not have a car. First trip to Germany in the winter and really looking forward to it - seems like it will be beautiful.
