Can anyone recommend an inexpensive hotel, not a hostel, but hotel near the Munich train station? I need a room just for myself.

There's a nice little B&B hotel, about a 15 or 20 minute walk to the train station, if you're interested.
It's called the Hotel Uhland, in a nice residential area, next to the Oktoberfest park.
Looks like single rooms start at 114EU for one person.
It's been years since we stayed there, but our family room was very nice and reasonably priced. They have free bikes to borrow, and the neighborhood lends itself to biking. Nearby are pubs and bistros
