Munich Beer Festival - Reservations???

We will be in Munich this year for the Oktoberfest Beer Festival. I have been online trying to reserve seats, but most are either full or will only reserve groups. There are only 2 of us going. Does anyone know if we really need reservations to these tents, or can we get in without them?

Have you found any tents with reservations available for any evening? I have also been looking for reservations for Thursday 22 Sep for our group of 8 but have not found a tent still taking reservations for the evening.

No, we have found nothing at all in the evening. I have only found lunch time for groups of 10 or more. Have you looked on www.oktoberfest.de? That's where I have gotten some links the to tent's websites. I thought that was the best place to look....

Unfortunately I think you may be a little late to get a reservation. You may need to just get to the tents early, grab a seat and stay put. You can always ask a group to scoot down at a large table and make room for 2.

You probably won't be able to get any reservations at this stage. However, that shouldn't really matter. I have been there on a weekend without reservations.

What day(s) are you planning on going? That will determine how early you should get to a particular tent in order to get a seat or a decent standing area. Not surprisingly, weekends are much, much busier than weekdays.

Go to some other place, it is extremely boring and there's really nothing to see there. You are wasting your precious holiday time!
