Why oh why are folk so judgmental on this forum? Why do we always feel the need to put people down, rip their every word apart?
I for one love the trip reports, and if I didn't I would just pass them by. I love hearing the little details, so please keep them coming.

TO: A-hem, What's your problem, and Carol - BRAVO! Maybe these other folks need to find another site to go to, since they can't seem to figure out how to just move on to the next post if they're getting bored with the minutia of a trip report. Here's a thought: don't click on trip reports to begin with! But then, maybe they have a point here: if all the trip reports fit into their little edited package, then there'd be so much more room on the 1st page for all the "Which hotel?" questions.

My thoughts exactly Holly, et al. When I tried to say the same thing I got "reprimanded" by xxx (whoever that is). And as im fed up said in that posting, I can't believe someone would start a new thread just to bash someone else. This certainly isn't what I come here for. Yes, they could have all been posted under one, but perhaps he didn't know that at the time, and now he does. There are plenty of topics that don't interest me and I just move on to something I am interested in. That's what the arrows and the mouse are for.

Please keep posting the trip reports, I really enjoy them. Brevity is NOT the key. If it's too long I'll move on.
<BR

Just a note: I commented in the abstract earlier. I stand by those comments. However, I think it is only fair that I thank Bob for his report. I enjoyed it. Bob has taken some heat here, but remember his post was at the request of a LOT of Fodors posters. Thank you Bob.

Hello...
I click on posts that appear as if they might interest me. After clicking, I either read it in its entirety, skim the post, or decide I'm not interested and continue scanning the meessage titles.
I really think that some people are just taking all of this much too seriously. Just because you don't like trip reports doesn't mean that someone shouldn't be allowed to post them. In fact, doesn't that seem a bit self-centered to you to think that everyone should enjoy the type of posts that you find interesting???

I think we should worry a bit less about creating 'by-laws' for this site.

Brevity, I must disagree.

As others have said, don't click onto the thread if you don't want to read it.

I, for one, wouldn't have the foggiest idea of how to create my own website. We're not all computer experts here.

I enjoy the trip reports, if I get bored I simply click or scrool to the next one. I do agree that it is better to post the sections as respinses instead of creating a new thread for each section. That reduces the number of threads and doesn't push them down so far and also makes it easier to print out one we're interested in. Just my opinion.
