I can't believe that no one has suggested the old 60's movie "Fanny" with many great French actors including Leslie Caron and Maurice Chevalier. It was always one of my favorite movies, but maybe it isn't so much about Paris as it is about France. But rent it anyway. I have never been to Paris and only once in France, but it seemed very "French" and also romantic, funny, charming...

You laugh, you cry, PERFECT, no?

Oh, one more, the old Moulin Rouge with Mel Ferrar as Talouse, and Zsa Zsa as a can can girl. Very well done movie. Has always been a favorite.
Of course I LOVE the new one, but the old one has its charm...

I love Netflix too, but I just put in many of these titles mentioned in this thread and there's an awful lot that Netflix doesn't have. They have all the major English language ones, and a few of the French language, but there were quite a few I couldn't find. Maybe if we all start emailing them with requests they'll stock some more.

The Truth About Charlie - shows a Paris that most visitors never see, such as the flea market at Clignancourt. And if you're staying at Hotel Langlois, the hotel is featured prominently.
Also, the Beat My Heart Skipped and Amelie, of course.

Three more Audrey Hepburns: Love in the Afternoon, How to Steal a Million, and Funny Face. Only a diehard Audrey Hepburn fan could make it (and even then just barely) through the mess that is "Paris when it Sizzles."
I took my screen name from the film Deja Vu that Beatchick mentioned. I love that movie. The Paris scenes are short but sweet.

Okay, even though only the end is in Paris (but WHAT a great scene on the Pont Alexander III) how about Something's Gotta Give? That, the last episode of Sex & The City, and Forget Paris are on my week-before list.
Also Head in The Clouds with Charlize Theron is a good "Paris" movie.

I agree, Until September is a fantastic movie. It is an old film, but just came out on DVD. Yeah!.
If you like action/suspense, there is also "Frantic" starring Harrison Ford. It's excellent.
Another film, another action/suspense, with Gene Hackman, is "Target". It is another fantastic film.
For a campy movie, "If Looks Could Kill" is cute and funny.
Also, "The Fatal Image" is another thriller.
