Moulin Rouge - I know this has been done
Hi

I know that similar questions have been asked many times before and yes I have done searches but I am still seeking opinions.

A couple of my friends and I am going to be in France in April, to give you an idea I am 24 and my mates are 30 and 47 (don't laugh we are great friends despite the age differences between us). We are planning a trip that will be mostly budget but at the beginning (in Paris) we were planning to go the Moulin Rouge or some thing similar. Given that we will be doing not much more (but a little more) than backpaking (i) is there anything really like the Moulin Rouge ie could we get the same experience elsewhere?? (ii) what would we need to wear - and no this is not a troll. We are planning to spend more on this part of the trip so suggestions would be welcomed. We are planning to stay in Monmatre (sorry my spelling is poor).

Many thanks I hope for nice answers

JET

This is a first -- a question about what to wear without even giving us a clue as to what sex you are?

Why anyone would want to spend that kind of money to visit Moulin Rouge on what is otherwise a "budget" tour is beyond me. It is really for those who have money to throw away.

Are you guys? If so go for the Crazy Horse, much better, a little naughtier, and actually worth the splurge -- you are less likely to be packed in amongst busloads of tour groups than at Moulin Rouge.

How I love saracstic replies. Thanks to the genuine poster. OK sorry about the lack of information, we are female, and although the trip is 'budget' we do have some money to spare doing few crazy, extravagent things.

Anyway sorry to ask a stupid question if that is what posters think

What are you talking about? You asked a question and you got legitimate answers. Maybe you feel some were sarcastic, but they answered your question perfectly. I guess what you really wanted people to say was not the truth but rather, "Hey congratulations. You've made a great decision. It will be the evening of a lifetime!" Does that make you happier than the truth?

It was not a stupid question, that's why several people took the time to truthfully answer it.
