Can anyone advise me of a website where I can get information on the location of the various sevice stations en route in France. We will be travelling with 3 children so I would like to have some idea when the next bathroom facility etc is likely to be. <BR> <BR>Thanks

I don't know of a website, I'm afraid, but I don't think you need worry. Service stations in France are very frequent (something like every 12-15km on average), so you're never likely to go more than about 10 minutes before you reach the next one. Some of the stops may have nothing more than a toilet block and car parking spaces, but most also have petrol and a shop at the least.

There are many rest areas and service stations on their major highways. Toilet facilities in rural areas are more problematic. Far fewer service stations are open on Sunday than in the US.

I don't have the address but there is a website for Autoroutes de France which has links to each of the several autoroute companies. They have maps of their respective roads and I'm sure they will have fuel, food and toilet stops marked. On the autoroutes, they are never too far apart.
